Day 7:  18 Oct 2006

I have a bad habit ; I love to buy lots of stuff from the supermarket. In fact, I try to visit the supermarket and/or convenience store of the country that I visit.

Here are some of my treasures from the supermarket and convenience store over the past few days.

Citron tea (柚子茶)                                                                          Chocolate-coated sunflower seeds

Korean throat candy                                                                        Korean seaweed

Different flavours of candy                                              Sugar coated 'zabon'

   Very tasty snack

I must be nuts. I went to Dazaifu just to buy these delicious mentaiko peanuts. I love them!

I had a good trip. At least I did lots of shopping and got to meet up with Kyoko. I wouldn't say it was a fantastic holiday because it is not the 1st or 2nd time I have been to Japan. Japan is a lovely place and it is a country where I always want to go to. Kyushu, especially Fukuoka, is a relatively familiar place to me hence this trip to Fukuoka does not make me go 'wow, this is exciting!'. Perhaps a winter wonderland at Hokkaido or Shikoku would bring more fascinating adventures as I have not visited both places before.

AS for Seoul, my first trip there was short but fun. Seoul is a great place for shopping, especially for ladies interested in fashion, skin care products, cosmetics and of course food! The numerous street side food sellers never fail to offer a big smile and usher you to their stalls for some delicious snacks, rice or noodle.

The only regret I have is that I never got to see autumn foliage. Yes, I'll be smart to go view autumn foliage in November, not October.

Until the next trip,  take care and enjoy the last 2 months of 2006!
